This is who I am.

For I have been crucified with Christ, therefore I no longer live, but Christ lives in ME.
The life I live in the body, I live by FAITH in the Son of God who loved me and GAVE Himself up for me.

I love my team!

I have been working at a fabulous company for coming up on a year now.  My boss is awesome, and my co-workers are awesome and everyone is awesome. I love them all. They all make going to work every day a joy!  Caitlyn, one of my co-workers who has been a sort of intern is going off to college at GA Tech this fall and yesterday was her last day working with us before she leaves......sad day. :(  So anyway, we went bowling last night to celebrate her going to college...kinda her going away party.  We had a great time....every one was drunk except for us "under agers"  and it was pretty funny actually.  We also played laser tag and danced when good songs came on the speakers.  It was just great.

Caitlyn always makes work fun...me and her have a great time working together on stuff and just being crazy.  We work well together and that helps a lot too!!  I've been so blessed to get to know her!!  I'll miss her, but hopefully she'll be back when she's home for a while.

You learn something new every day

I have recently come to terms with the fact that
you cannot possibly please everyone.
There are people you will come upon in life who are selfish and un-caring for other people and nothing you can ever do will make them truly happy.  That's just life.  There are some people who complain about everything and don't ever want to put effort into doing anything for anybody else that is too far out of their way and once again, nothing you can ever do will make them truly happy.  So why do we as people try so hard sometimes to please these un-pleasable (if that's a word =P)  people??  These people are no benefit to us, they only contact you or spend time with you when they need something from you, whether it's friendship, companionship, someone to talk to, or even help with something. When they have other people to use, you are nothing to them.  So when they treat us like this why do we try so hard to keep pleasing them??  I believe that it's because they are "hard to get".  Just like how us women sometimes play hard to get when there is a certain man we want the attention of.  Something about this person and them not treating you right makes you want even more to be closer to them and spend time with them in order to earn their favor in some way.  Why we think like this who knows...but it's true.
So, if you are going through something similar where you're struggling trying to be friends with or just trying to make someone like you, give up. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with being kind to them and being there for them, you actually don't help them by being there at their beck and call. Sometimes these people need to hear no.  Every relationship has two sides and both have to be trying and putting in effort to make it a successful relationship.  If you're the only one putting forth any effort it seems, just back off for a while and maybe they will finally realize that you were there for them and just maybe they will appreciate you one day. If not, just kiss em goodbye and go out and make new friends with people who need a friend too.  I'll bet there's someone out who's been praying for a friend and you are just the one God will put in their life.  :)

God Bless!!

Ummmm.......

So, it's Friday....annnndddd I had a great day at work annnndddd a great time afterwards with some peeps from work at Miller's Ale house (at which I did not drink....since of course, I am under age...even though I would have really appreciated a one-dollar margarita...but ya know.  What can ya do? )  annnnnddddd after driving home with a terrible case of have to pee.....which was miserable because EVERYBODY was trying to hold me up!!  What in the world is the deal with people actually driving UNDER the speed limit for once, the ONE time I'm in a hurry and I mean HURRY to get home???  I don't know but if they only knew what I was going through......

anyway, enough of that rabbit trail......

so I'm here at home and I really feel like I should have something to do on a friday night, but alas.....nothing. So, I'm making all my friends on facebook crazy by posting things every 5 minutes and listening to Keith Urban which isn't really bad at all.  But, actually I think I needed some time that's just quiet.  Just chill time.

And by the way, if you're ever bored and you're close to a computer with iTunes, play a song and hit  CTRL > T and it will open up this:

Of course, I don't know if it will open with CTRL > T on a PC cause you know....Macs are just cool like that.  That's why I have one.  BUT, nevertheless, it's pretty much epic.

It does everything and is just so entertaining to those simple minded people.......

...like me. :)

Now that I've shown you just how pathetic I am, I am going to retire to the sack.....or hit it....whichever you prefer....I think retiring to it sounds much more pleasant.

Laugh!  Love! Hope! Be Thankful!

TImmy boyyyy :)

So I have some awesome friends that love comedy and such and they introduced me to Tim Hawkins. He is a christian comedian that absolutely makes me crack up. You wanna talk about CRAZY PERSON? You can't look much farther than Tim Hawkins. Between randomly spazzing out every few minutes/seconds or being just plain crazy, you can GUARANTEE your sides will HURT. :)

Here's a short clip from his latest DVD, Insanitized.

Have a blessed day!

My baby's growing up!!

Just a short post for posterity's sake....

Once upon a time I had a wittle tiny puppy that stole my heart, was a fiesty little whiny baby who yelped ALLL NIGHT LONG, had puppy breath, took naps with me and was small enough for me to hug and cuddle. 6 months later, I have this huge, smelly, lump of energy and slobber who comes and jumps on me when I open the car door when I get home, who barks and annoys Bessie all day and who loves going on walks, chewing on pinecones and brings me so much joy. I love my PJ ♥

Have a blessed day!!

I want some Photoshop actions!!

I just recently stumbled upon this photographer on facebook who has THE most gorgeous, artistic and beautiful pictures on the face of the planet.  Oh So Posh Photography. I am in love with photos that capture glorious sunshine and the beauties of God's creation and this photographer does just that.  All her pictures have "glow" to them and ....mmm....they just make me crazy.  I could sit there and look at them all day. Too bad I don't live in Texas!!

Since I'm beginning to get more and more into photography along with my design work, I will be purchasing the entire Adobe Design Suite this fall.  (My piggy bank is crying).  That also includes Photoshop! I can't wait.

BUT anyway....Oh So Posh Photography is giving away some actions that she created that give your photos a whole beautiful look.  Just LOOK at the difference in the photos (below) when you add the actions.  They. are. gorgeous. SO, go check out her website and glorious photography and enter the contest if you're interested in some Photoshop actions!!

God Bless!!

The irony of it all.

PJ and Bessie are good buddies. Really they are. Deep deep deep....

DEEP....

D-E-E-P down.

Bessie really loves PJ below all the fur and flat and blubber....

deep, deep, deep

deep...

deeeeeeeppppp, DEEP DEEP down.

BUT for the most part, PJ drives her inSANE.

They bark at each other constantly.

I must say though...as cute and adorable as he is, you can pretty much put your money on the fact that PJ started it.

He has a routine procedure for annoying her.  (Ever heard of a routine procedure for annoying someone?   Ya know, I might just patent that idea and write a book about it....may come in handy someday...)

It all begins with a look.....

And then another look as the fat girl attempts to get away.

And then another look....as we capture the bounty (the coveted boingy pillow).  Doesn't this make you want a boingy pillow???

Then he INCHES closer....

"If I can just think small....think microscopic...no...smaller than microscopic...think almost non-existent...maybe she won't see me and I can get ...."

".....jusstttt a bbiiittttttt........."

"...AAAHHH!!! CLOSER!!"

Ok...maybe not.
But ya can't blame him for trying!

But you CAN blame him....

...for never ever quitting.

It never ends.  Poor Bessie.

After Pooky's death she thought she was home free. FINALLY the one who gets
ALL the attention.
She just counted her chickens before they hatched.

Oh well. Stinks for her.

Cause I'm keeping this one. <3

I love my Wubbsie!

My most favorite weekend of the year!

WOW! Haven't posted in a while.  Life just gets that way sometimes ya know....

Of course, I know that no one reads my blog so it doesn't really matter. :P

ANYWAY... last weekend was my favorite weekend of the year.

The one weekend when part of this small town of Tallahassee becomes horsy wonderland.

The one weekend when Red Hills Horse Trials happens!!

It's the best :)

I see so many people I know, meet lots of other people and just get to be around horses ALLLL day long. :)

It's also a great venue for taking pictures!

This is my favorite Equestrian, Karen O'Connor. She's what other equestrians call an "immortal." She's just that good :)

Because Red Hills is a 3 day Event, each day is a different phase of the weekend competition.
Friday is Dressage. A test of the horse and rider's control, grace, elegance, and training. It can be boring to watch if you don't know what they're doing but even then the beauty of what it is is stunning to watch.

On Saturday, they had a special mini-show of Paso-Fino horses. A spanish breed that has a natural 4-beat gait that is smooth and comfortable as ever. My precious CJ is of this special breed. Riding a Paso will really spoil you. :)

Saturday is the Cross-Country phase of the competition. The phase that consists of a 2 1/2 mile course to test the stamina and speed (and GUTS!) of the horse and rider.
You seriously have to be on the verge of crazy to jump some of these!!

This is Karen O'Connor with one of her horses she brought this year: Quintus 54. :)

And these....these sorry bums....I had to hang out with them all day Saturday.

They sure are sorry aren't they??  Unfortunately, they're both so precious to me I just can't let them go. :P

Day 3 of Red Hills is the Stadium Jumping competition. A graceful and elegant show.  The horses and riders have to complete the small course without knocking down any of the poles on the jumps. It's my favorite of the 3. It's just a beautiful and simple performance. :)

ok, so I just couldn't resist here.
Tell me you didn't see the thought bubble too!!

I was tickled at this adorable horse.  Every time he jumped he would flick his tail straight up in the air.  So adorable. :)

And talking about adorable...my two men are pretty dang adorable and I love them dearly.

Even if they are bums.

A day in the woods :)

Saturday afternoon we went to a friend's party out in the woods.
I took my little booger along, PJ.  He was a hit of the party.  LOTS of attention from everybody is what cute little puppies get.

He also made lots of new friends!  The kids just loved playing with him and pulling him around and he enjoyed chasing them!

However, he found out that kids don't run out of energy like us grow-ups do.  They just keep going and going and going....

And going and going and going and going and...
You get the point.

He was EXHAUSTED.  He took several long naps during the afternoon.  After chasing the youngins around for a while he had to just come and climb in momma's lap.

Not that I minded. :)

Ian, the boy in the blue enjoyed him too.  Ian has autism and is so sweet.  He loved introducing EVERYBODY to PJ.  He just couldn't believe he was only 8 weeks old either!

Needless to say, we had a good time. PJ had tons of fun and the kids had tons of fun and it was just a good time outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

God is so good!

My first flowers :)

Yes, my first bouquet of flowers ever received from someone.  I have gotten flowers before but they weren't exactly GIFTED...just given because they were left over from valentine's day.
However, this valentine's day, I arrived at work to find that the most beautiful bouquet had been delivered...for ME!!
And not only that, but they were from my sweetie!
It was FABULOUS!!

I couldn't help smiling from ear to ear and it kept a smile on my face for the rest of the day.

The roses were beautiful. I swore I never wanted to see a rose again after working valentine's and mother's day at a flower shop, but these roses were so different...not your typical rose.  So perfect :)

There were also some of these....don't really know what they are, but they add so much color to the arrangement!!  I'm such a fan of that florist!!

And then...my man knew just what I like.  Daisies.  My favorite flower.  Ohhh it was so perfect <3

Now I'm just having fun taking pictures of these beautiful flowers. :) What else is a girl to do? :)

Have you noticed yet that I like smiley's??  :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Well, this valentine's day gift REALLY made me smile :)

God Bless!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Tonight my sweetie invited me to go to his church's annual Valentine's banquet.  It was great fun, great food and great company.

My favorite part about it was that it brought the whole concept of Valentine's Day, LOVE, back to the ULTIMATE lover.  Jesus Christ, who gave His own LIFE so that we could live in freedom and peace.

There are SOOOO many Bible verses about God and His love for us.

The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
Psalm 145:8

For God so loved the world that He GAVE His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish forever but have eternal life.
John 3:16

Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:39

There is a song that we sang in Church this morning AND at the banquet tonight and I'm so glad we did.  It's one of my favorite songs! The lyrics are so powerful and so true.

He is jealous for me,
loves like a hurricane, I am tree,
bending beneath the weight of his wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden
I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory
and I realize just how beautiful You are
and how great Your affections are for me.

And Oh, how He loves us
Oh, Oh how He loves us
How He loves us all

Yeah He loves us, Oh how He loves us
Oh how He loves us, Oh how He loves

We are His portion and He is our prize
drawn to redemption by the grace in His eyes
If grace is an ocean, we're all sinking
So Heaven meets earth like an unforeseen kiss
and my heart turns violently in my chest
I don't have time to maintain these regrets
when I think about the way

He loves us, OH how He loves us
Oh how He loves us
How He loves us all.

YES, He loves us, oh how He loves us
OH how He loves us
Oh how He loves.

I hope that if you don't know Him or His love, you will come to know that.  It's the best thing that can ever happen to you .  I pray you will find His love.
